I recently had the opportunity to present my work at the Medici Management School Program in Florence. Run by three outstanding business and management schools: NYU Stern; HEC Paris and University of Bologna, Alma Graduate School, the week had some fantastic papers presented by scholars working on creativity, legitimacy and status. There was some great work showcased and those especially interesting from a creative industries point of view included work on art markets and core-periphery models in the organisation of work in the film industry.

The La Pietra estate houses NYU’s presence in Florence, it was home to the Medici bankers and thus provides a connection to the  most famous and successful investors in art. More details on the experience and output to follow
